GTCP is looking for directors, designers, stage managers, technicians, musicians, crew members, scenic artists, costumers, stage hands, crew and production staff for our shows.
If you have theatre experience or if you would like to learn something new in the world of theater, we would like to help you! No previous experience is required – it’s always fun to learn something new! So, if you’ve always had a desire to create fantastic background scenery, design costumes, etc and become an integral part of any production, this is your opportunity! Grand Terrace Community Players Announces Debut of New Theatre Company
Grand Terrace, CA May 15, 2009 – The Grand Terrace Community Players will kick off it’s long awaited debut with a showcase of local talent this summer, entitled “Showcase Spectacular, a Musical revue…and more”, a mix of songs from Broadway and Movie Musicals, and scenes from upcoming plays.
Auditions are scheduled for Saturday, June 6th in the Community Room at City Hall, located at 22795 Barton Rd, Grand Terrace, CA, from 12pm to 5pm. Please bring resume, head shot (if possible) and own accompaniment (CD preferred).
The Showcase performances will be held at Terrace Hills Middle School, 22579 De Berry Street, in Grand Terrace (corner of De Berry and Mt Vernon), CA, on July 17th, 18th at 7 pm and a matinee on July 19th at 2 pm.
Tickets can be purchased online at http://gtcommunityplayers.eventbrite.com , $10 Adults, $ 5 for Children under the age of 12. Special Discounted tickets are available (not available online) for Students; Military; Fire; Police; Teachers and Senior Citizens for $7.00. Please show IDs when purchasing tickets at the door for the Special Discounted ticket price.

We’re looking good for our first production !!
Here are all the important dates for our first show (we’ll have flyers and blanket media coverage as well) :
At the City Hall Community Room
June 6th (12 – 5 pm) Auditions !!
June 13th Auditions (10 am) Orientation /Rehearsal (2 pm)
June 20th Rehearsal (10 am )
June 27th (my House) for Sets, Props and Costumes ( 9 am) BBQ will be served for lunch !! Refreshements will be provided, as well !
THMS multi-purpose room (call time for cast and crew)
July 3rd (Tech rehearsal 6:30 pm)
July 11th (Dress rehearsal 6:30 pm)
July 17th, 18th 6:30 pm
July 19th 1:30 pm Strike the set after show, Cast Party to follow at my house 5 pm (ish) to ? Bring swimsuits and towels, the pool will be refreshing !
Sounds simple, right ? Now comes the hard part. We need 3 things; donations, volunteers and donations !! We need tech people, admin people, crew people and of course, actors and singers !! We’ll have a booth at Market Night, in the Azure Hills parking lot in GT, June 15th, from 4:00 to 8 pm. Stop by and say hi !!
