About us:
Lori Williams (Executive Director & Founder): My husband Randy and I have been residents of Grand Terrace for 20 plus years, having moved here just a few months after we were married, in 1986.
My passion has always been theatre and music, having been raised around both. My mother first took my brothers, sisters and me to see her friend, Robert Goulet in “The Happy Time” at the Ahmanson Theater in Los Angeles. It was 1967 and I was in kindergarten. I may have been young, but from that day, I was hooked on theatre. Musicals, Shakespeare, Broadway, dramas, I loved all of it !
Growing up I did my share of acting in school productions and I sang in the choir concerts, but I always wanted to be involved in actually putting the productions together.
After I became a mother, I would read stories to my daughters in accents and different characters, so it wasn’t just reading the words, but more like acting out the story. They both have become gifted storytellers in their own right ! By the time my daughters were old enough to walk, I started taking them to the theatre and introducing them to many types of music from different genres, time periods and countries. Over the years, we’ve enjoyed theatrical productions on video, DVD, CD and in books, as well as live theatre. My girls have shared that love of theatre with me all these years and now my eldest daughter, Bonnie, is a Theatre major at Cal State San Bernardino. My younger daughter, Eva, wants to write plays and help cast our shows !
Bonnie and I have talked about starting up this group for years and now, with hard work and dedication, are finally ready to take it from the page to the stage !
Bonnie M. Williams (Artistic Director & Co-Founder) is absolutely thrilled to be a part of her mother’s long time dream, and more thrilled that it is finally coming together! Bonnie has been acting and performing since childhood and feels at home on the stage. She would like to thank everyone who has supported her dream over the years for their constant love and support, and for the occasional kick in the butt when she felt like giving up. Bonnie has recently performed as Isabel in Gilbert & Sullivan’s “The Pirates of Penzance” at CSU San Bernardino, various roles in GTCP’s “Showcase Spectacular!”, Jan in “Grease” and Nathaniel/Servant in “Taming of the Shrew” with Inland Theater Works/Fictitious Theater Company, various roles in the “Adventures of Ultra Guy” at Sacred Fools Theater in Los Angeles and Margaret in “Much Ado About Nothing” at CSUSB.
* We could not have made this possible without the assistance from the other members of our Board of Directors: Stacey Baker, Denise Files, Jason Robbins, Heather Shaw and Anthony Potter.
